Question:
Were you ever a “subject” of the "Mormon Kingdom of Zion"?
Answer:
I was never a “subject” of the "Mormon Kingdom of Zion", although I was treated like one. I'm embarrassed to say I was duped into joining this religion when I was in college. But, I was born and raised a protestant "Christian gentile", and I rejoined the church I grew-up in after I left the Mormon religion. I only attended religious services in this religion for about 6-months before I accidentally discovered the incredible truth about this religion. I also had no idea that, according to this religion’s “laws”, I had to formally request to leave this crazy religion in order to get out (isn’t that some kind of violation of the Constitution pertaining to "Freedom of Religion" or something? Wait, I bet the Mormons know, because they revere the Constitution of the United States, and are experts on the Constitution!
Question:
How often do you update?
Answer:
As often as my schedule will allow, or as critical new information is revealed.
Question:
Where did you get your material for Mormonzeitgeist.com?
Answer:
Initially, I accidentally found the true history of this religion in 1977, as a junior in college when I was enrolled in a Mormon religion class at the aptly-named "Mormon Institution" on the campus of the University of Arizona. I took a class called, “The Teachings of Joseph Smith”, and wrote a term paper entitled, “Politics and the Church”. While I was researching data for my term paper, I accidentally uncovered a rare book artifact that disclosed the incredible, but true history of this religion. See, “Why I Left” in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire story. Then, after 20 some-odd years of being stalked and harassed because of what I knew, I began researching this subject again in 2000. During this "new period of research", I uncovered a plethora of new data, which includes the entire documented theology of the Mormon religion, as documented by the Mormon religion itself.
Question:
Do you always give full credit for the postings?
Answer:
Yes, all posts are identified by the person who made the post. However, many do not provide a real name and many articles may be posted as "Anonymous".
Question:
Why don't you post links back to their original source / website / message boards?
Answer:
Message boards are volatile - messages do not last on them very long. Once an article moves off the front page and into archives, the link to the original message generally stops working within 30-60 days. In order to not have to go back through and clean them up, I do not post links back. Message boards such as Recovery From Mormonism are concerned that if any copyright material is posted, linking back to them will put them in legal jeopardy.
Question:
Are you here to expose Ex-Mormons?
Answer:
No, I'm here to document the true chronological history of the Mormon religion, and its underlying theology.
Question:
Will you remove an article if an author requests it?
Answer:
Yes.
Question:
If an author submits corrections, will you correct your online article?
Answer:
Yes. I would expect this to happen. The truth seems to be an iterative process that may not be revealed all at once.
Question:
If an article in Mormonzeitgeist.com is incorrect, will you correct it or remove the article?
Answer:
Yes.
Question:
Why do you have Google Ads on your site?
Answer:
I have Google Ads on my site to help offset costs of running this site. Unfortunately, Google scans this site and adjusts the advertising to match what Google "thinks" this site is all about. Because of this, Google Ads sometimes show Pro-Mormon advertising, or Mormon Apologetic material. I have tried in the past to filter out the numerous Pro-Mormon sites shown on Google Adds but have ultimately given up. Persons such as Allen Wyatt of FAIR have registered over 500+ domains in order to trick those searching for information on Mormonism onto his sites, and to boost his sites to the top of Google indexing.
